Our client is a member of a multi-jurisdictional group. This role aims to independently confirm the transactions executed from the operations team, to validate that funds have moved as expected and to settle deals and liabilities on due date.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and confirm transactions (Independent Verification)
- Ensure transactions are accurately reflected to the appropriate portfolio
- Complete daily reconciliations of all transactions placed on the treasury platform at the deal level (including but not limited to cash and securities positions)
- Reconcile internal records against third party statements and investigate discrepancies
- Communicate all reconciling items to process owners for clearing
- Allocate monthly and quarterly interest and dividends earned to the appropriate account
- Comply with regulatory requirements, company and group policies and maintain compliance awareness
- Quality check all payments leaving accounts prior to authorisation
- Oversee and validate the work completed by the transactions team
- Act as a document custodian and ensure that all documents are safekept and organised properly
- Independently execute accounting processes relating to the various group entities’ matters (e.g. payments, service providers statement of account reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations)
- Prepare monthly payroll calculations for the group entities
- Post monthly payroll into the G/L for group entities
- Prepare JE for review before posting
- Collaborate with the treasury operations team for matching reports and figures
- Support month-end closing and reporting process for the group entities
- Manage ad-hoc requests of the Department (i.e., generate reports)
- Perform necessary entries in Treasury Management System to update transactions
- Support other team functions for continuity purposes
Position’s Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- ACA/ACCA/CFA qualification is required
- 2+ years’ experience in Financial Services industry and 1+ year in fund management or asset reconciliations background with experience in a similar operations role will be considered as advantage
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- Strong reconciliation and investigation experience
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Solid knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to identify errors and high attention to detail and accuracy
