Our client, a well-established company operating in the IT industry, is looking to employ a high caliber individual to join their offices in Nicosia.

The job holder will join the company’s team working on various projects related to Enterprise Mobility, Warehouse Management and Content Management carried out on behalf of the company’s clients. Being part of various project team the job holder will contribute to the successful implementation of the projects assigned to them by successfully completing the assigned tasks.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Data Centers, Computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• DNS Configuration
• VMware and Hyper-V Administration
• Installation, maintenance, administration and configuration of virtualization infrastructure of the company and its customers;
• Manage of Linux and Microsoft Systems
• Manage WebSphere Application Servers
• Manage Apache Tomcat servers
• Manage Active Directory
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance

Position’s Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field
• 4-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of on-premise Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Working administration knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Systems
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

The Salary will go up to 40K gross depending on experience and qualifications
