Our client, a leading group in the beverage production and distribution, is looking to hire a high caliber professional.

Responsible for all accounting and financial matters such as, ensuring the integrity and quality of financial and management reporting, complying with reporting requirements and policies, maintaining and governing the internal control environment and implementing best practices in the field.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for the finance function of the Company and its subsidiaries in Cyprus and in Greece
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and maintain strong financial controls and compliance with relevant financial policies
• Interpret financial reports and operating data for management. Advise management on matters such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
• Responsible for payroll, VAT and other tax matters
• Responsible for annual audit and company returns
• Actively manage the Company cash flow
• Contribute to the development of strategy, providing financial modelling and forecasting to support key decision making around Business direction
• Maximize profitability through a deep understanding and appropriate communication of the profitability drivers, and validation of profit improvement initiatives
• Drive change in the way of working to fully utilize information systems
• Develop a robust risk management strategy
• Act as a business partner to the production management team
• Perform any other role related tasks that may be assigned
• Ensure preparation and delivery of financial reports (includes P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow information), in-line with accounting standards and relevant accounting policies. Highlight variances and performance drivers – provide insights and value to the analysis provided
• Monitor and analyze key P&L components to understand business impact and highlight risks and opportunities
• Manage and protect the Company’s financial and capital assets
• Manage and develop accounting policies, systems and processes
• Hold the responsibility for reporting and accounting as per country’s regulatory and legal requirements, including taxation (Corporate, VAT, Payroll), annual reports and accounts
• Deliver annually audited financial accounts
• Manage relationship with local banks, auditors, tax and legal advisors
• Support, motivate and enable the finance team by providing them with challenging individual targets and KPIs
• Coach and develop people for their team

Position’s Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or any other related field
• ACA/ ACCA or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of related work experience in a similar position.
• FMCG experience will be considered an advantage
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience in partnering with an executive team
• Fluency in the English language
• MS Office knowledge
• SAP knowledge will be considered an advantage
