On behalf of a client, a member of a multi-jurisdictional group, we are looking for a Financial Analyst. This role supports the financial and investment operations management of the company, affiliated entities in the same group and their activities.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
- Review contracts and maintain a database of the investments/financial instruments identifying various elements including but not limited to the following:
- Cost
- PE/Actively traded/etc./Fund/SPV/etc.
- Classification (debt/equity)
- Interest %/ Dividend and due dates
- Maturity
- Portfolio/Entity
- Fees
- Valuation
- Risk exposure (geographical exposure/industry exposure etc.)
- Carry out due diligence for investment transactions
- Carry out sensitivity analysis
- Monitor and confirm transactions (Independent Verification)
- Ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the appropriate portfolio
- Complete daily reconciliations of all transactions placed on the investments platform at the deal level (including but not limited to cash and securities positions)
- Support cash flow management and projections for the group entities
- Support management of credit facilities and banking mandates
- Identify relevant data to perform valuation of assets and positions, and report based on US GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare reports tailored to the needs of senior management
- Produce financial statements for management and statutory purposes for each group entities and on a consolidated basis
- Support the production of the consolidated annual statutory report (and quarterly management reports)
- Prepare tax returns (VAT and corporate tax) for each entity
- Be the contact person to support the annual statutory audit
- Provide the necessary audit trail and documentation to support the work performed
- Work closely with management by supporting them in various accounting tasks
- Support other team functions for continuity purposes
Position’s Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related degree
- ACA/ACCA qualification
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role; private equity experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Solid knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High attention to detail
- High level of confidentiality and Integrity
- Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
- Familiar with working with large datasets and modelling
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
