Shop Manager, Nicosia – SM/09/23

Our client who operates in the food retail industry, is currently looking to recruit a Shop Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the respective shop and effective supervision and management of the team members as well as ensuring the service meets the customer needs.The position operates within the shop premises and some corporate office hours.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

  • Motivate the team to meet objectives by training and mentoring team members to achieve a high standard of product and service
  • Recruitment, development and training of new team members for the shop
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, machine, facilities and premises
  • Complaint management: respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Implement branded promotional campaigns from the head office, including the handling of point-of-sale promotional materials, or devise your own promotional campaigns
  • Undertake store administration duties such as managing the store budget and supervise on operation and other expenses, stock loss and deviations in co-ordination with accounts department
  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items
  • Prepare reports and performance analysis about buying trends, customer requirements and profits
  • Ensure compliance with the safety and health regulations

Position’s Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • University degree in a relevant field will be considered as advantage
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a food retail environment, ideally in a managerial role
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
  • Good knowledge of POS, MS Office Word & Excel, Blend – staff scheduling

Working schedule

6 days, 48 hours per week

Annual salary

19.5k-24k   gross
