On behalf of a client, a land and real estate developer that focuses on designing and creating luxury residential real estate and world-class resorts, we are currently looking for a dynamic professional for the position of Financial Controller who will join their team in Pafos.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all aspects of the group-wide finance organizations and lead key finance projects within the group.
- Lead, guide, and supervise the finance, tax, and accounting teams of the group while continually enhancing the finance function.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate financial projections and insights to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Manage the coordination and completion of annual financial audits.
- Continuously evaluate, advise on and lead key strategic initiatives of the group, including recommendations to create value, exploit business opportunities and enhance financial performance.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain the credibility of the finance department by delivering relevant, timely, and accurate financial insights.
- Assist with preparation of the Company’s annual operating and capital budget.
- Assess and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Position’s Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CFA) holder
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, with a strong track record of financial management, analysis, and reporting, preferably in the construction, real estate or hotel industry
- Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and performance management
- Extensive knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English languages
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing finance team
Working hours 9:00-17:00
Salary range €45-52k annual gross
