On behalf of a client, a land and real estate developer that focuses on designing and creating luxury residential real estate and world-class resorts, we are currently looking for a dynamic professional for the position of Chief Accountant who will join their team in Pafos.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with relevant departments. Monitor budget performance and analyze variances for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls. Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Liaise and monitor the outsourced accounting team. Work with them and delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and examinations by regulatory bodies or auditors. Serve as the primary liaison for audit-related inquiries and requests.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and optimize tax planning strategies. Review and submit tax filings and ensure timely payments.
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Implement changes to accounting procedures to optimize workflows.
• Provide financial advice and guidance to management on strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Position’s Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in senior accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, regulations, and financial reporting
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English languages
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Outstanding communication skills

Monday to Friday: 9:00-17:00

Salary range

Up to €40Kgross
