On behalf of a client, an accounting and auditing service provider, we are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team in Nicosia.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures the processing of accounting transactions in due time for deadlines
• Reconciles vendors and bank statements
• Reconciles sales proceeds and applies controls to ensure correct implementation of procedures
• Ensures that the management or any other report (i.e., VAT, VIES reports) sent to the clients is accurate (monthly/quarterly/annually)
• Handles invoices, expenses, payments, and issues cheques
• Assists in preparation of financial reports
• Coordinates and liaises with external associates such as auditors and local authorities
• Ensures compliance with all statutory requirements
• Contributes to the smooth running of the accounting function
• Performs other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned
• Participates in other accounting-related duties

Position’s Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field or acquiring LCCI higher or CAT
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an Accounting and Finance department or relevant experience in client accounting
• Competent user of MS office
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) will be considered as an advantage
• Good communication skills and analytical mindset
• Confidentiality
• Fluency in Greek and English languages
