HR Manager, Nicosia – HRM/02/24

Our client, one of the leading consumer product distribution companies in Cyprus with a portofolio of well-known brands in the food and beverage categories, is looking to grow its HR department with an HR professional who will lead the team.

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources department and leading HR initiatives that support the company’s objectives. This role involves managing HR operations, implementing policies, fostering a positive work environment, and providing strategic guidance on HR matters.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on HR-related issues.
  • Design, development, improve and implement HR policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application and understanding of policies across the organization.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including workforce planning, sourcing strategies, interviewing, and selection. Develop talent management strategies, including succession planning, career development, and retention programs.
  • Facilitating employee and management relations and handling human resource issues on behalf of a company.
  • Lead performance management processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate Learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Develop and implement employee development initiatives to support career growth.
  • Interpreting and advising the company on employment law.
  • Establish HR metrics and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and present reports to senior management. Use data insights to drive decision-making and enhance HR processes.

Position’s Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration Occupational Psychology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR roles as supervisor, manager or team lead
  • Experience in the field of FMCG or Retail will be considered as an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Conceptual thinking along with empathy
  • Understanding of diversity principles
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language both verbal and in written


Up to 45k gross depending on experience and qualifications
