Our client, a well-established Group operating in the retail industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and dependable individual for the position of Senior IT Officer to join their team in Nicosia.

The purpose of this position is to support all information technology systems, networks, and infrastructure, as well as to provide direct assistance to the users of the group. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for the security and proper functioning of software programs.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains core IT functions, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktop computers, software, and hardware.
• Installation & Configuration of servers (on-site & cloud), desktop/laptop hardware and software, peripherals, Local Area Network, wireless network, essential network services (peer-to-peer or client-server architecture as appropriate), and Windows operating system.
• Performs scheduled system checks, including all backups.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all IRC computers and network resources, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Implement and manage backup solutions for office/individual users, providing training on their usage, and update network security measures to prevent data loss and unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IRC computer software/hardware and network documentation, including IP addresses, system access, and upgrades.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and explore local Internet connectivity options to improve Intranet and application connectivity.
• Monitors and performs maintenance on computer systems and networks.
• Collaborates and communicates with all departments of the Group to ensure smooth system operation, develop new processes/systems, and support users.
• Collaborates with external partners to resolve technical issues, create new projects, and bridge systems.
• Provides support to all Group stores and delivers immediate technology solutions.

Position’s Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field
• At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Hyper/V, Veeam
• Very good organizational skills
• Systems management
• Sales and customer service technical knowledge
• Very good interpersonal and communicational skills
• Excellent command of the Greek and English Languages (verbal and written)
• Problem Solving
• Dedication to continuous self-improvement and deepening of knowledge
